Kids Content Media Academy

This program aims to empower children with the skills to create engaging media while promoting social media literacy and safe online practices. The integration of outdoor activities encourages physical engagement and fosters creativity.

Program Structure

After-School Program (School Year) Coming Soon!

Frequency: Twice per week, 2 hours per session

Focus Areas:

  • Basics of media production (intro to filming, editing, storytelling)

  • Social media fundamentals (posting etiquette, privacy settings, and positive engagement)

  • Outdoor activity break (group games, scavenger hunts, teamwork challenges)

Camp Program (Spring and Winter Breaks)

Frequency: 5 days per week, 4 hours per day

Focus Areas:

  • Hands-on media projects (short films, mini-documentaries, vlogging)

  • Social media safety (content sharing boundaries, digital footprint awareness)

  • Outdoor adventure day (hiking, ropes course, outdoor video shooting)

Summer Program (8-week session)

Frequency: 3 days per week, 6 hours per day

Focus Areas:

  • Advanced media skills (green screen, podcasting, animation)

  • Social media platform exploration (understanding different platforms, creative content ideas, brand building)

  • Weekly outdoor activities (sports days, team-building challenges, media projects outside)

Content Media Academy Application

We are now accepting applications for our Kid’s Media Academy Winter Session from December 22, 2025 - January 9, 2026. If you’re interested in registering your child(red) please complete the application below. Children must be at least 7 years old by the first day of your selected session. Parents must provide lunch for children attending full days sessions. If you have any questions, or a unique circumstance please email creatorsguildhtx@gmail.com.

  1. Media Production Essentials: Camera skills, storyboarding, basic editing.

  2. Social Media Literacy: Safe posting practices, managing privacy, understanding online behavior.

  3. Content Creation and Storytelling: How to tell impactful stories that resonate with peers.

  4. Outdoor Team Projects: Create outdoor-friendly media projects (nature photography, community interviews).

  • End-of-Session Showcase: Families and friends are invited to a presentation where kids share their projects.
